The Globe Bar - Reminiscent of an old-style explorers’ club, with an 850-volume library of original leather-bound books, botanical-themed artworks, a grandfather’s clock, and antiques. A celestial globe dating from 1799 stands at the entrance, and the pages of a reproduction of Captain Cook’s diary are turned each day. Deep lounge chairs and sofas, rich rugs, dark-wood paneling and a baby grand piano enhance its old-style charm.
